Carolina is a member of the 5th generation of the Veit family, involved in wood trade first in Germany and then in Brazil. In the mid 70’s, her family established the first teak commercial plantation in Brazil. Carolina worked as a consultant to a number of companies and has been working with forestry-related projects since 1992 (Cáceres Florestal SA, Floresteca SA and PureVision). In 2009 she became director of business development of PROTECA Forest Biotechnology. Since 2014, Carolina is a managing partner of the PROTECA Group. Carolina has a graduation degree in Biology from the University of São Paulo – Brazil and a specialization degree from Kitasato University – Japan.
